Looking back with the point guards we have had, who was the best? Is it even close-Jamaal Tinsley?

Go...

If you saw Hornacek play, yes there would be plenty to discuss.

This discussion seems to pop up every now and then on here. Most will say Tinsley because they never saw Hornacek play. Tinsley was a true PG and played 2 years. Horny could play the 1 and 2 and played 4 years. Both could assist their ***** off. Horny was a better shooter. Suffice to say you couldn't go wrong with either one.

Jamaal Tinsley is 1.a and 1.b and maybe even c. Then Jeff Hornacek. Hornacek had a great career. Jamaal Tinsley was arguably the best player in college basketball in 2001.

Hornacek was a shooting guard forced to play point. If we would yave a point guard and been able to move horny to shooting guard he would have been awesome.

Jamaal Tinsley-PG, Fred Hoiberg-SG, Jeff Grayer-SF, Marcus Fizer-PF, and I would take Loren Meyer C. But I would start Royce over Meyer just for matchup sake.

I was a young Hawkeye fan during Hornicek's ISU career, but I've always been an avid NBA fan so watched him play countless games. He was a point guard during his time at ISU? He certainly could play point guard if he had to, but in the NBA he was your classic shooting guard who would only play point in weird situations where a starting and backup pg weren't in the game.

I don't know if this threat was started because the OP was missing JT last night. Don't worry, KL will make you forget JT next game.

I think Meyer at center because he was a guy that was a 20 and 10 guy his last two years. I realize he was hit by a train two games into big 8 play his JR year. I think he was one of the better offensive centers in the league during that period. Cato was a shot blocking phenom, but he was always in foul trouble in big games.

I was led to believe there would be a poll in this thread. I've been fooled.
