Realistically we do not want to have Wesley or Jiri or Rashon to hurt themselves before the Big 12 season, so I think it will be a tough Dec as they cannot play all out.

What is our all time record with the Beavers?

I'm gonna say the lightbulbs go off and they play with a new energy and chip on their shoulder. Win going away 77-65.

Riding a three-game winning streak, the Oregon State men’s basketball team returns to action this week as the Beavers host Iowa State in the Pac-10/Big 12 Hardwood Series on Friday, Nov. 30, at 8:00 p.m. from Legendary Gill Coliseum. The meeting with the Cyclones will be the first in series history and will be televised by FSN.

Oregon State (3-2) enters the contest winners of three straight after the Beavers concluded the Beaver Invitational with a perfect 2-0 record after wins over Idaho State (56-41) and Portland (67-57).

Seth Tarver continues to lead the Beavers as the sophomore has scored in double figures in every game this season. The sophomore leads the team and ranks 14th in the Pac-10 with 15.4 points per game as Marcel Jones ranks second on the squad with 13.6 points per contest.

In the win against Portland, the Beavers had four players score in double figures, including freshman Sean Carter, who set a season and career high with 15 points in the win.

Iowa State enters the contest with a record of 2-3 on the season as the Cyclones have lost three straight contests, including a loss at home to Northern Iowa, 61-48, earlier this week.

The Cyclones did have some good news in the loss to the Panthers as the game marked the return of guard Wesley Johnson to the court. The guard, one of Iowa State’s top players, saw his first action of the season after starting the season with an injury. In the loss, Johnson went 7-of-14 from the field and finished the contest with a team-high 18 points.

Senior Rashon Clark has stepped up in Johnson’s absence as he is off to a fast start in 2007-08, averaging 10.4 points and 5.0 rebounds. The senior is shooting 61.1 percent from the floor (22-36 FG) and he has been above 50 percent from the field in all five games this season.

The meeting with Iowa State marks the first in the series between the two teams as Oregon State holds a 13-17 record all-time against Big 12 Conference opponents. The Beavers will make a return trip to Ames next season as a part of the Pac-10/Big 12 Hardwood Series.

For single-game tickets, contact the Oregon State Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-BEAVS or by purchasing online at OSUBeavers.com—Official Web Site of Oregon State University Athletics. Single-game tickets are $25 for chair-back seating and $15 for all other areas of the arena.

SETH TARVER OFF TO A FAST START FOR THE BEAVERS
One of several bright spots for the Beavers at the start of the season has been the performance of sophomore guard/forward Seth Tarver. The sophomore, who fought a foot injury throughout his freshman season, has reached double figures in scoring in each of the first five games and has led the team in scoring three times on the year.

After averaging 15.3 points through three games at the BP Top of the World Classic, Tarver registered a career-high 21 points in the win against Idaho State before leading the team with 15 points against Portland as the Beavers claimed the Beaver Invitational title with a 2-0 record.
