ISU and Colorado haven't played one another for quite a while and it would be an interesting contrast of stylesThe most boring bowl option ever would be too big 12 teams playing each other.
I always look at the bowls as a chance to play someone you rarely would see and out of conference for bragging rights. A game against Colorado would accomplish neither of those.ISU and Colorado haven't played one another for quite a while and it would be an interesting contrast of styles
Agreed. Probably better to get the Pop Tarts bowl if able and if ISU doesn’t win this weekend.I always look at the bowls as a chance to play someone you rarely would see and out of conference for bragging rights. A game against Colorado would accomplish neither of those.
I'm fine with either bowl if we happen to lose tomorrow, but we did just play Clemson a couple of years ago.Agreed. Probably better to get the Pop Tarts bowl if able and if ISU doesn’t win this weekend.

I went to memphis to watch tulsa beat the **** out of isu on a cold damp night. Colorado vs ISU in the Alamo bowl is waaaaaaay better than that. The most boring bowl option ever would be too big 12 teams playing each other.
But I read the edible mascot is strawberry this year. Mmmm.Would also very likely be the highest rated bowl game outside of the CFP. I'd rather have that exposure than play in the Pop Tarts Bowl.
I'd also favor the potential colorado matchup over rutgers on a baseball field, or ISU vs any middling big 10 team, or going to shreveport, or playing boise at home.I went to memphis to watch tulsa beat the **** out of isu on a cold damp night. I get what you are saying, but how about the Big12 runner up isn't relegated to playing in a bowl game against a conference member. its already bad enough the 2nd place team doesn't get in the playoffs, this is like salt in the wound. Give me orlando against Miami.I'd also favor the potential colorado matchup over rutgers on a baseball field, or ISU vs any middling big 10 team, or going to shreveport, or playing boise at home.
The two of you brought up every bad memory I had buried away about ISU's bowl history.I'd also favor the potential colorado matchup over rutgers on a baseball field, or ISU vs any middling big 10 team, or going to shreveport, or playing boise at home.
