Athletic Subscription

Thinking about getting a subscription to the athletic. Follow ISU football and basketball the closest as well as cubs and packers content. Is it worth it for those who have it? And what do you primarily read if you do have it?

I've almost pulled the trigger twice this winter, but held back. Decided that at this point, I'll wait until next football season and then do it.

Pro sports are covered well. I feel isu isn't covered as much as i hoped, but i get almost everything i need from cyclonefanatic. Just wait for a good sale and pull the trigger.

I had a subscription, then dropped it, but signed up again recently. I personally think it is some of the best sports writing in the country. They do a decent job of including ISU coverage, but not significant.

I subscribe and I think it's worth it. There is a ton of great content and the staff they have assembled is almost an all-star team. There's a lot of very talented writers/contributors. There have been quite a few good stories with ISU topics. I don't follow the Cubs and Packers, but I would guess they have a ton of great contributors covering those teams as they are obviously very popular with large fan bases.

I got a $1 free trial for 3 months. Really like what I’ve seen. The Cubs contributor does an excellent job. They had a nice article on Campbell a few weeks ago and do a good job covering CBB in my opinion. Not sure if I’ll splurge on the full price subscription, but the trial is worth it.

I was listening to a podcast that offered a subscription for 40% off which came out to less than 3 dollars a month, so I was thinking about pulling the trigger

If you like NFL draft breakdowns, they have some of the best I've seen. Their coverage of March Madness last year was pretty stellar as well.

They have Q&As where staff members answer questions from subscribers.I think they go through and answer everything because I’ve had all of my questions answered. Really neat to see that kind of outreach.

I signed up when they were running a discount. Think it worked out to like $3/month, which is definitely doable.

Eamonn Brennan's Bubble Watch has found its new home there, which was something I always enjoyed reading throughout the season.

During CFB the Faux Pelini articles were worth the price alone most weeks.

I like my subscription. Seems like there's a lot more "in depth" type stuff than I'd find elsewhere. Arif Hasan's Vikings breakdowns are awesome to read.

I just followed my favorite teams, as well as CJ Moore as it looks like he's been covering the Big 12 season very well. Any other writers to follow for Big 12 football and basketball coverage?

Also followed Ken Rosenthal as I've heard he's great.
