I wasn't all that impressed by him. He reminds me of an Ed Davis from UNC type of guy. Big and skilled but very soft.

The door sure seems to be open to make some noise. UT just lost their best player. KU had a bunch of guys declare. Mizzou, OU and Tech have new coaches. KSU loses Pullen and Samuels. Baylor gets their best player back, but Dunn graduates. OSU loses its main horse in Moses. I don't see any reason why ISU couldn't beat any conference team at home. They'll lose maybe a couple and the road games will be tough, but I don't think that shooting for a top half finish is unrealistic.

With or without Thompson, we had an excellent shot at not only knocking off Texas once, but twice. I think some of you are underselling what type of team we might have next season.

Yes, but with Thompson, Texas was projected by many to be a Number 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, so you might be underselling what type of team Texas might have next season. I like your optimism though.

I think we'll have a shot to beat anyone at home next year.

We had a shot to beat anyone at home last year. There was only one home game where we were an underdog by 5 or more points, and even that game was really close.
