I am looking into buying a waterproof digital camera/camcorder. Anyone have any luck, or not so much luck, with one of these? I have read mixed reviews. We're going to Cabo in 2 weeks and the lady really wants one.

I have been looking at Best Buy and am interested in the FUJIFILM.

Took an Olympus Tough 6010 to the Bahamas last year, worked great underwater. I just kept it in the pocket of my trunks and never worried about it while swimming.

I too have an Olympus Stylus Tough (I don't know the model # off hand) but is is awesome. The one I have is a few years old. I carry it in my pocket often. I have taken it camping, canoeing in the BWCA, and to the field with me at work (I'm a wetland soil scientist). The battery in these lasts forever and the picture quality is good in most settings. The only downfall I see is that it doesn't do well in low light settings but moderate indoor lighting and in all outdoor lighting it does well. Here is a link to this line of cameras:

I have an Olympus Stylus Tough as well....have used it in the ocean, snowboarding & skiing where it was dropped in snow many times, rock & ice climbing where it gets banged around pretty good.

It's been beat to crap and keeps on trucking. Love it. The HD video recording is money, and I didn't need to buy another memory card because the camera holds about 500 pics and 20 minutes video by itself.
