my car finally took a **** and left me stranded on the highway. perfect opportunity to buy my dream daily driver. an amc pacer (preferable wagon although a merth mobile would be sweet).

anybody know of any out there in the world. doesn't need to be perfect. just good running condition.

have found a few on craigslist here and there, but figured i'd ask fellow clones in case there were some out there not listed, or not for sale unless someone asks.

i live in tn but my bro and dad live in iowa so if there is one out there, they could pick it up for me.

AMC Pacers weren't in "good running condition" when they were new. But good luck.

I can't say anything, my '55 Fairlane starts sometimes and sometimes it just decides not to. Frustrating as hell.

Boy oh boy. Someone is going to need a stick to keep the ladies up off of him!

Maybe a Matador or Gremlin for a fleet of chick magnets

Ahhh, AMC Pacers. I watched one roll over one night in an Ames bar parking lot. That brings back some memories.

Those Gremlins were chick magnets. They were the third tier choice for teenagers. They made it from Point A to point B. They could be parked .

Hah, back in the day my brother had a Levi's Edition with the denim seat covers.

I don't remember it being too bad of a vehicle for him but he told me otherwise pretty recently. I do remember that it was so light in the *** end that you could light 'em up pretty easily.

F.A.C.T!

matador's don't get good enough mpg. ladies these days want fuel economy AND style. the pacer and the gremlin fill both criteria. with an ad like this, how can one argue?

Had a '73 Gremlin in high school. Funny looking car but I still smile anytime I see one.

Go for a Javelin (1st car). Looked into buying one like I had, but none like it around. Metallic green with white vinyl. Wish it had been an AMX

Wow...I had a '78 Gremlin in high school and after I turned 25 was given a '73 Gremlin. That '73 was so cool - just a work car that lasted about five years worth of getting to work, gravel jammin' and boozin' we did anything possible to that car (including not checking/changing the oil) and it ran pretty darn good. Most of this car was rust, but the dirt held that together.
