Does anyone else feel like Bowen is still nowhere near his ceiling? He's not as sure of a tackler as you'd think for someone who led the nation in TPG last year.

This I like to see. I hope this encourages some of his teammates to work even harder to live up to his example. I love how this guy plays and I did not realize he was 230!

Keep up the good work Bowen, wish we had 10 more of you on the defense!

Bowen is a complete stud and the saving grace of this defense at this point, its great to see him getting some attention.

He's our best player on defense, but I think we're still looking for a saving grace after giving up 56 last weekend.

We should hold up some "Pocket Ace" cards in his honor or something at the Oklahoma game.

There is no doubt he is a good player but I'm curious how his stats would be if he was playing in a system where there was more talent on the defensive side. Last year he was basically the only guy on defense making tackles out of necessity because the D-Line couldn't stop anyone and basically the same thing again this year. Remember how Greenway and Hodge feasted at Iowa because of the same thing. He's also not much of a blitzing LB with 2 sacks in about 1 1/2 seasons so far. He was 1 guy last week that kept playing hard after some seemed to have quit after Texas got up.

Bowen's stats are inflated because the rest of the defense is inept. That doesn't mean he isn't a good player, but you can't take his stats and make an argument he should be an all-american. I think he would start for many D-1 BCS teams across the country, heck look at Tyrone McKenzie, our former MLB is now the starting SLB for the #2 team in the land.

To me it often seems like Ace and Kurtis Taylor are head and shoulders above the rest of the D

Whatever happened to the "Pocket Aces?" We haven't heard much of that lately.

There was someone still into it at the last "Spirit Walk." Some young kid was all wound up with a large homemade card that he had obviously really worked on. Then when Ace came up the lane of people he made sure to wave it in his face.
