Weren't your guards terrible last year?

Schott was pretty good but was injured a big chunk of the year. Kallenberger was inconsistent, but started playing well at the end of the season. He played every snap of the Holiday Bowl and Ferentz said he had the best bowl prep of any player on the team.

You think with that OL and a weak schedule that your best RB Toren Young would have had over 432 rushing yards lol

Sorry, I thought we were trying to have a legitimate discussion here. My bad, I should have known better.

Iowa State’s OL must have been dreadful last year. Can’t believe that your best RB Kene Nwangwu only had 115 yards.

What's not legitimate about that? 432 yards isn't that much. Hall had 897 rushing and 1149 from scrimmage (5.5 yards per touch) against a top 5 schedule in all of college football

Mostly the Paulsens, plus Banwart was injured and missed the season. Things got better once Schott came back and paired up with Kallenberger at OG. The biggest issue was getting confused on LB/S blitzes.

He was Iowa's slowest RB. Goodson would be #1 with 638 yards in 4 starts. He started the last 4 games of the season beginning with the Minnesota game in which he gained 94 yards on 13 carries. His best game was at Nebraska but you already knew that.

Goodson had the lowest yards per touch of any of your three RBs

He also led the RBs in carries, yards and TDs as a true freshman. He also led the RBs in receptions and is a very capable receiver out of the backfield along with IKM. Ivory Kelly-Martin will add some speed and quickness next fall after redshirting in 2019.

So he was the least productive but got the most opportunities? Makes sense. Also he's pretty bad as a pass catcher

Epenesa at 16 before Doyle was 260 lbs, could bench 315 and ran a 4.7 40

Epenesa after Doyle was 275 lbs, could only do 17 reps of 225 and couldn't run a sub 5 sec 40. That's insane!

How much money is the difference between a first and second round pick? Doyle owes AJ some serious coin
