Auburn uses this phrase and ESPN went crazy with it in their promotions before and after the NC game. Iowa State has also been known to use the motivational phrase. I am wondering what program used this first i have thought of many different possibilities:

1)Chiz started it here and the players kept it around because they wanted to show commitment to ISU's program

2)The phrase was started at Auburn after 2006, CPR brought it here, and the Tiger players asked Chiz to keep it or..

3) Auburn started it when Chiz was the DC, he brought it here it got further entrenched with CPR and Auburn has been using it the whole time. (This would be the most likely possibility if TT uses it currently)

I have just wondered about this after seeing the promotional stuf for the Tigers and wondered if anyone on here had any insight on the topic. Thanks!

The most sense I can make of it is that there is an addiction to poker that is spreading throughout the College Football world.

I'm sure several teams have used the phrase over the past years and no one can really take claim to who used it first. It's just like how we started copying KSU and the KC Chiefs with the "that's another Cyclone...FIRST DOWN!"

I noticed that as well, but the first time i noticed it was when i saw a kid holding up a sign that on the top had the auburn logo, and under it the "All In" coin. ESPN kept zooming in on it throughout the game. I was a little annoyed at first by the fact that we both use it and that the chiz must of had something to do with it, but i was mostly just annoyed because it was auburn.. man i hate them lol. When Scam Newtons out of there, the chiz wont be back to another bcs game in many years.

I was reading Pete Carroll's book "Win Forever" from a while back and I think I remember reading that "All In" was the slogan he used with his first USC team (2000 or 2001?)

Coach Rhoads starting using the "All in" phrase in pittsburgh and took it to Auburn. It was the Defensive slogan and was on all of their playbooks. He then brought it to Ames with him and made it a team slogan. Chizik must have like it and decided to copy it but he did not have it in Ames when he was here.

Not sure the origin but this was our team motto basically back in 2008-09 with McDermott. The players didn't buy into it so much I guess but we had team shirts and whatnot with "ALL IN" on the back and in the team huddles at the end of practices etc we would say ALL IN vs saying Cyclones or something.

yes it was a McDermott thing, Chizik took it with him and used it his first year at Auburn
