Someone mentioned his girlfriend goes to school at UNI? Makes sense to stay in state?
What? If AJ chooses to go elsewhere it’s not going to be because our program is “declining”, he’d go because it’d be a to a blue blood like Duke. Our program is back on the rise. How quickly we rise will be determined by a multitude of factors. If we can’t get a coach’s son to commit to ISU, is our men’s basketball program just going to decline to the point of not being competitive?
Ok troll. If we can’t get a coach’s son to commit to ISU, is our men’s basketball program just going to decline to the point of not being competitive?
Things like social media matter, AJ's name getting run by the Duke social media accounts yesterday got his name seen by more people in one day than his entire UNI career. Look at something like Instagram, Duke bball has 1.3 million follows, UNI has 17k...hell ISU only has 50k.Tons? How do you figure? Big12 is on every week too. For the most part, we and Big12 games were on TV just as much as Duke. Duke was on ACC network and maybe network channels for high profile games plus those w/NCar , but I thought we were on just as much. (of course many on ESPN+).
Tons more exposure to some random basketball fan, absolutely. Tons more exposure to an NBA scout, not really.Duke is on the Champions Classic at the start of the season and in every major non-conference matchup against other bluebloods. tThe tons of love they get from ESPN is unreal. Not even close.
Depends how much he would play. Nothing is better for the brand than being a star at Duke. A lot of Duke starters have been overdrafted too.Things like social media matter, AJ's name getting run by the Duke social media accounts yesterday got his name seen by more people in one day than his entire UNI career. Ok troll.
I just asked a question and Statefan gave a reasonable answer. I’m an ISU grad that worked in the athletic department before JO was our coach.Ok troll.
If he decides to go elsewhere it’s because someone wrote a fat check. What? If AJ chooses to go elsewhere it’s not going to be because our program is “declining”, he’d go because it’d be a to a blue blood like Duke. Our program is back on the rise. Also, AJ is likely not going elsewhere. These conversations will continue to happen though until he makes his decision on coming back to school.
I really don’t know if that particularly matters to AJ.If he decides to go elsewhere it’s because someone wrote a fat check.
Yesefu had a really good 10 game run for drake. aj has the much better resumeLol
Yesefu isn't anywhere near the player AJ is.
Maybe he'll transfer if Hunter goes to KUYesefu had a really good 10 game run for drake. aj has the much better resume
Oh...it's dropped to "likely not" going elsewhere now. Just ready for it to be over and decided quite frankly. What? If AJ chooses to go elsewhere it’s not going to be because our program is “declining”, he’d go because it’d be a to a blue blood like Duke. Our program is back on the rise. Duke basketball: Blue Devils interested in flamethrower grad transfer
The Duke basketball staff is reportedly eyeing another "AJ" with a dagger from deep, this time doing so via the transfer portal.balldurham.com
Fudge Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky...Uhm...Hhm...Duke is on the Champions Classic at the start of the season and in every major non-conference matchup against other bluebloods. tThe tons of love they get from ESPN is unreal. Not even close.
I'd be surprised if Duke was factor. AJ wants to play, and not worry about watching some 5 star kid take his minutes.
Like I said earlier, for $400k Pack like money, he can give up some minutes. Fat lady warmin up.Look at all the girls that ride the bench at UConn, most of their team could start at any other school.

We didn't get AJ to commit a year ago when Kyle was hired, and I think the season turned out ok.If we can’t get a coach’s son to commit to ISU, is our men’s basketball program just going to decline to the point of not being competitive?
