I'm in the same boat, not buying a package and buying tickets alone. FWIW, after the ISU/KSU matchup was announced in late April, I went onto the official Aer Lingus Classic site and there were still direct tickets available for the FSU/GT game at that time.
I'm more concerned about the lack of hotel options available in Dublin for that weekend. I booked a backup hotel about 15 mins south of Aviva in St. Helens just to have something booked because there is incredibly low inventory and outrageous prices ($500-900/night).

I've booked for 4 all paid. Now just waiting for tickets to open up.
I never go through ISU for any away/road games.
Usually the seats aren't the best and if I'm flying all the way over there, I want to be able to watch from good seats.
Mrs. and I are on the fence for this trip primarily due to cost- my parents are retired and were looking at some of the packages through ISU… the ones they found were something like $5000 and didn’t include the airfare, not sure where they were looking at, but probably wouldn’t hurt to read the fine print before cutting the check….
I still don't understand how the packages for a game sponsored by an airline doesn't include airline tickets. Maybe it gets too complicated with people flying from all over the place.
As someone who just paid ISU $200 to sit in the corner end zone for the CCG, I endorse this message. Won't make that mistake again!
We rented a VRBO a 5 minute walk because all the Bonvoy properties were sold out right away.
How long ago did you book that up? I saw almost nothing on VRBO when I was looking to book something back in November. Unless a huge amount of inventory opens up after the new year, which is possible if hotels/rentals are holding things back to see what demand looks like, I feel for Cyclone fans who don't have an option locked up yet...
$420 for a ticket and all-inclusive tailgate. A little high, but you'd have a guaranteed ticket to the game. Way cheaper than the package prices that have been thrown out.

I ended up springing for this package a couple of days ago. Was more than I was wanting to pay and I’m not excited about sitting in an end zone but wanted to make sure we had tickets before I started booking the rest of the trip.
That’s not a terrible deal, as long as you plan to make them regret offering Cyclone fans an open bar! Can’t see spending that amount for my kid’s ticket when all he’s gonna do is drink pop and eat chips.
