I hope those in authority take note of this or folks like @brentblum or @ChrisMWilliams can shed some light.

I reached out to Aer Lingus to ask when game-only tickets will be available, and their response was:

"A very limited number of tickets will be allocated to Iowa State, and more details will be shared in February."

Very limited.

It's clear that many Cyclone fans are eager to attend the game. However, for families like mine, the $4,000+ per person travel packages (plus airfare) are out of reach. A trip of this scale requires substantial financial commitment and advance planning, yet being told to wait four months for ticket information leaves many of us in a difficult position. You'd think people know right now if they are going or not, so letting families start making their travel plans with assurances they can have a ticket seems like a no-brainer.

If the intention is to reserve most of the "very limited" tickets for high-level donors, this delay creates significant unease among countless fans who want to be part of this event but are unsure how to move forward with their plans.

How can regular season tickets holders ensure we can get tickets without saying "buy the official travel package."

Not to be too cynical, but having a die-hard cyclone family buy airline tickets (rarely refundable) and plan a trip only to be told the school allotment is 1,300 tickets will really sour things.

They want you to buy a inclusive package. That will include tickets. So they want you to but air, land, hotel and tickets through them as a package. I am assuming you can still do that. However, my guess is the packages thru them are quite a bit more expensive than you can do by yourself.

6 years ago I and my family went to Maui for the Maui Invitational, then to guarantee tickets I bought a package. It was more expensive than doing travel myself but was the only way to guarantee tickets at that time.

My guess is Ireland tickets will be done and released thru ISU as the do everything else. Via donor level. So yes high level donors will have access to tickets first. Once they are gone they are gone. Who knows what level it gets too, my guess is if limited not lower than Gold. This is all a guess on my part.

Have you looked at packages that include tickets?

Are we assuming if you cant get through ISU it will be unlikely to get them elsewhere?

They are really attacking the giveaways, emails, etc.

I hope they release some to the public. I'd like to piggyback another destination onto this possible trip.

Yes, the OP addresses this. People are traveling with children and the packages start at $4,000 per person, not including airfare. Add another $1k/person, so the available tickets would cost a family of four $20,000.

Iowa State has some of the best fans in the nation. We travel well. To keep the excitement up those fantastic fans should have the ability to see their team without needing to pay $20,000. Again, trying to keep this positive, but I'll say this .. it's very disingenuous for the AD to constantly say how great are fans are (I also read on CF how broke are fans base is) and not give an opportunity for people to partake in events unless they are retired or wealthy. Let people who want to indoctrinate the next generation have those same opportunities!

ISU could handle this totally different but heres how Georgia Tech allocated their tickets for the 2024 game vs FSU

Hell Aviva Stadium only holds 51,700. Not a huge venue. Wonder how the tickets are split in the end. Have to think a good number to sponsors, then a good number to package sales, then the rest spilt up to Schools. Wonder how much that will be.

I will say this, the Iowa State Football Varsity Marching Band, who is 350 strong only gets to bring 100 to the game. That includes staff. They had to try out. The reason, high cost and limited tickets.

My son made first cuts in the Tryout Process, so he might be there. We decided to not go because of cost mostly.

Good luck.

There's ticket only packages that include food and drinks before and during the game. They're expensive but better than the all in packages IMO. I'm looking at flying into Scotland 2 weeks before the game then finishing in Dublin so don't want my itenary booked around flying in and out of Dublin

I was surprised that the packages didn't include airfare, since the sponsor is an airline... I guess it might be difficult with people coming from all over.

Jack Trice club option is already sold out at $750/pp. And with two children the $500/ppl open bar seems like an interesting suggestion to get access to tickets

The packages are about twice as much as it would cost to plan everything yourself. That’s a helluva premium for convenience. We are going to book everything and hope to get tickets. Worst thing that happens is we enjoy an Ireland vacation and miss out on going in the game.

Don't remember the name of the one we got but it was 500 euros per. Gets us in 2 hours before kick for a meal that I'm sure will be meh, but saves 1 planning detail.

I should add, no kids in our group. So makes a big difference

Did this for Maui last time and no complaints, but really would have liked to make a game

The Kickin' It podcast had the organizer guy on it who said half of the stadium was Irish people so I would imagine there will be some tickets on the secondary market. That being said, ISU and KSU are fairly equal fan bases, so it might be an expensive ticket.
