And you aren't thinking creatively. Don't expect people to take you seriously if you are intellectually lazy.

You could also use a rental. And if you're making the kind of sales where you need a luxury car all the time, you have no excuse for not being able to afford to buy a nice car for cash.
What you're doing is "justifying" your already made up decision.
Don't be so quick to guarantee this statement....Well, I don't know what a "Glock Foah-tay" is, but I guarantee I have more training and practical experience in finance than everyone on this forum.
I was a finance manager at a car Dealerships from 1985 to 2002 along with sales manager, general sales manager, new car manager, used car manager, auction buyer, and sales trainer. I'll place my skills on the subject matter at hand against yours anytime..... Challenge accepted.
1. I deem a new Honda CR-V or Toyota Rav4 significantly safer than our 2000 Pontiac Sunfire.
ANY Suv is less safe than a comparable car...... Suv's have too high of a center of gravity..... more prone to roll-overs.
I'd take my chances in a car based SUV rollover over a t-bone in a 2000 sunfire ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
I've been upside down before. It's not that big of a deal.
I hope you stopped letting your sister drive.I can vouch for this one (well, not the rollover). My sister has totaled two Chevy Astro vans on left turns and the oncoming traffic t-boned the van. I was in the passenger seat both times. The worst I've been hurt either time was a gigantic welt/bruise on my left leg when it kicked the underside of the dash board. I hate to think the state of my health right now if we had been in a smaller car either time...
I hope you stopped letting your sister drive.
You are wise beyond your yearsNo, I just stopped riding in the car with her
You are wise beyond your years
If I were you I'd wait until summer. Right now prices are not going to drop since anyone who wants a car will have a refund check to use. Unless you've got to have it now, I would wait.Any thoughts on what my best options are now that I've walked away from deal #1?
Will the tax returns increase demand or am I still ok to play the Saturday end of the month game??? I keep looking for private sellers, but as you can see I'm beginning to get the "itch" to buy again![]()
A Chevy Astro has a full frame as its a truck. Smaller Suv's have no frame, just sheet metal stretched over what is called "uni Body. Basically, No framework to add structural integrity.
