3 years 91 million doesn’t sound like the worst thing. Keep playing. Keep producing top 1/3 of the league in your position. Then put your numbers up against similar qbs who got paid instead of you. Don’t think it will be close.Caught this on my AM drive:

Not mad at Brock or 49ers.
Unless it's all guaranteed.I don’t see Purdy accepting something like that. To be paid $10 worse than Sam Darnold is a bit of a slap in the face. Something like 3/$120 or 4/$160 is the minimum for someone like Purdy, in my opinion.
3 years for $91M? No way I'd play. That's holdout territory.3 years 91 million doesn’t sound like the worst thing. Keep playing. Keep producing top 1/3 of the league in your position. Then put your numbers up against similar qbs who got paid instead of you. Don’t think it will be close.

I could be wrong, but I think it's because he's technically still under contract. Hard to sign with another team when you still have another year under your deal.I realize that Brock and the 49ers mutually want him to stay in SF but did his agent not at least test the waters to see what other teams might offer? Didn't hear a peep about any QB needy team trying to sign Purdy and even if the goal all along was to resign with the 49ers if the money was that far off why not put some pressure on the 49ers by bringing some other offers to the table?
He still is under contract for this year. Typical to sign a new contract with a year left to prevent them from getting to free agency/franchise tag.I realize that Brock and the 49ers mutually want him to stay in SF but did his agent not at least test the waters to see what other teams might offer? You're right. I don't know if his agent could try to get another team to approach the 49ers with a trade, but that's about the only way Purdy could try to get out of San Fran.I could be wrong, but I think it's because he's technically still under contract. Jerry Jones said he would sign him. Of course Dak is on the hook for a lot of money so I don't think it would happen but I can dream. You're right. Ah for some reason thought he was a free agent right nowHe still is under contract for this year. Typical to sign a new contract with a year left to prevent them from getting to free agency/franchise tag.
Actually the only advantage Brock has would be to hold out. If they can't reach an agreement he plays this season at his $5 million, gets franchise tagged the next year at $41 million and then possibly a second franchise tag in two years at I believe around $60 million. In that case he plays year to year and tops out around $105 million. Now, I make around $70k a year...so that is a lot of money...but he would be better off with a deal and the security.I think if this offer is real he just won’t sign and he’ll take an his talents to the open market in the offseason. 49ers will start to squirm
