Help: Ad Redirect

While reading a forum thread here at CF, I just got redirected to a full page advertising site, with "return to site" and "close X" buttons at the top of it. I've never seen that before. Is this something that CF is now doing, or is my browser possibly infected?

Recently noticed when visiting Fanatic it will redirect me to adexchange.com occasionally. This is the only site (click) that I have seen this with. I use Google Chrome Version 36.0.1985.143 m. Has anybody else had this issue?
