There are a couple of big Hawk fans in my office. They were good sports about the loss. It was very appearent the loss was an absolute nut shot.

He said something to the effect of "Blow him a kiss on your way down the court!" after rat boy scored on Niang. I think it's awesome. Shows how much Georges got under his skin.

He was giddy when he said that.

On a related note, I would love to find a clip of the Dolphin/Hansen call from the stolen inbound pass, Thomas 3, five second call, etc. through the end of the game. Where could I track that down?

Way up there
My Hawk buddies went through stages for grief, immediately after the game it was "Gessell sucks, he's been blowing games for four years", then it went to "Fran sucks" before finally settling on "Can't believe they'd rush the court against an NIT team". At first my response was that I think Iowa is better than they think, they kept with the court rushing stuff so I went with a standard HAHA response to every text or message I got. Can't wait to see the butthurt really on display at Wells Fargo.

Almost makes me wish we had tickets. Almost.

I'm not a big fan of WFA. ;)

I say this all the time, but if anyone wondered why you should never root for Iowa, here are another few hundred reasons.

Still enjoying the earth shattering level of butthurt from Iowa fans on their board.

Just read that ISU mostly plays one on one selfish ball. Seriously the dumbest thing I've ever read. ISU has been in the top 10 in assists pretty much every year lately, we're the definition of an unselfish team offense at the college level, I'd go as far to say we have been the best in the nation at that particular thing.

Defensive laps sure, but to try to discredit ISU as some sloppy one on one hero ball team, this win just keeps on giving in terms of the quality poutrage from Iowa fans.

The Iowa Chokeyes are the worst fans in AMERICA. They are the epitome with what is wrong with sport fans today. They are sore losers and need to move on with their lives. I don't care what anybody says about the Jok eye poke, it was unintentional on our part and it SHOULD HAVE been a travel. But since we have one of the best teams in the country, that possession didn't make a difference. The Iowa fan base will always be inferior to us on and off the court #Cyclonenation

Some more gold:

"isu isn't good enough to beat the Hawks on their own they needed us to help them.

That is just the fact.

Excuses are what clone fans live with."

Yeah, ISU is simply not good enough to beat a team they beat 85% of the time in recent history.

We poor Cyclone fans with our excuses like reality, math, logic, common sense...

Actually in the first half, I thought that was part of our problem....

I think the thug argument is pretty funny, because they have a guy that literally tries to blind/ arm bar players he plays against and also had Mccabe who tackled that Michigan state player and blasted his own fanbase.

I love how the past 365 days were all about Nader being a Hawkeye killer and what a fluke that was.

Now this year Nader dominates every single team we have played except has basically no production vs Iowa...still an ISU win. Nader would most likely be Iowa's second best player, has a horrible game compared to otherwise dominant play this season, still an ISU victory.

Now they are questioning Monte's character. "There must be reasons why Iowa and Michigan State passed on Morris"

Every player in ISU's top 6 would be the best or second-best player on Iowa's roster and it's not remotely close.
