I'm sure this has been posted (but I didn't get a chance to chime in when the news broke).
Assuming the coast is officially clear, for now — I find it funny that:
1. Big Ten has 12 teams
2. Big XII has 10 teams
3. Pac-10 has 11 teams
The 10/12 swap has been noted, but adding the Pac-11 thing (esp. after all the BigTeleven jokes over the years) just makes it better.
Interesting related aside — there was a thread about renaming the Big 12. I'd be willing to bet Big Ten always remains that, even if it goes to 16-mega. "Ten" is more of a trademark than a membership count by this point.
