Up until this week though none of the teams we played had beaten anyone with a pulse before they played us.

After kstate, we only play one more undefeated team (WVU). Who knows what will happen between now and Nov 23 though.

This. it is worthy of note and we all know how hard of a schedule we have but everyone knows we'll get (and are looking for) no sympathy with our SOS and teams we have played have faced some total cupcakes. A the end of the day its more important what the records are at the end of the year, not the first 6 games. we've had a good start @ 4-1, but not great, we let Texas Tech get away and making up for it against K-State would be a big factor in the season and 5-1 would be quite the start and finally get us into the top 25 rankings. (not just coaches poll.)

I thought Western Illinois was beaten before we played them
You are correct Western Illinois had not been beaten prior to playing us, the problem with what he said was we are 4-1, unless he is counting the last interSquad or Spring game.....

Tulsa 1-0
Iowa 2-0
WIU 3-0
Tech 3-1
TCU 4-1

Am I missing something?

Yeah he just means at the time we played each team, they had not lost. I don't think this is probably all that uncommon though at the beginning of the year. I would think many teams play at least 3-4 unbeaten teams to begin.

Our FBS opponents thus far, including K-State, are a combined 19-2 (CMU @ Iowa, OU @ TTU) excluding their games against us. We will be either 5-1 or 4-2 after Saturday.
