Update on writer strike:

Folks, we may finally be getting somewhere. The WGA at the conclusion of Wednesday's talks said in a statement, "For the last two days we have had substantive discussions of the issues important to writers, the first time this has occurred in this negotiation." The topics on which progress was made include union jurisdiction over the Internet and reality TV, but the issue of compensation for online streaming still appears to be a major hurdle.

"We remain committed to making a fair and reasonable deal," says the AMPTP in its own statement. "We believe that there is common ground to be found between the two sides that will put all of us in the entertainment industry in a better position to survive and prosper in what is a rapidly changing modern, global marketplace."

Dont you want to know what the island is????

CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!

Lost is the best written plot I've ever seen. Nothing can even come close to how amazing they intertwine 100s of plots and flashback (and flashforwards?)

My wife loves LOST, and she is really good at anagrams.

When Jack entered the Hoffs/Drawlar funeral home in the season 3 finale, she went nuts yelling "This is the future!!!"

Hoffs/Drawlar=Flashfoward

That is freaking amazing. I guessed he was in the future, but had no clue that the Hoffs/Drawlar was an anagram.

Best Prime-time drama since Twin Peaks.:notworthy:

Lost WAS the best prime time show, but it jumped the shark last season and is just getting downright silly. Heroes is the best prime time show on right now.

Survivor has actually been pretty good this year, I cannot believe the blindsided James last week, I wanted him to win. Now I am cheering for Amanda or Courtney, but they really need to get rid of the lunch lady, she is so annoying.

Could you maybe provide some reasoning behind this alleged silliness? I don't see where you are coming from.

The first season was compelling, you did not know what was going on, it was exciting to learn new little things. Lately they have just been opening more and more stories, and never giving you any closure on anything. The thing I love about Heroes, is they open a new plot line, and close it in a few shows, you don't have to try to remember what happend 3 years ago.

Plus they killed off the best character on the show, Mr Eko. This season they will probably kill off John, and then there will really be no reason to watch.

I still do watch the show, and still do enjoy it, but it is no where near as good as it was that first season when they were just discovering the hatch.

He actually asked to be off the show. I was sad too though.
