I'm listening to Marty and Miller right now. They are saying Pollard and Chizik got together before the season and evaluated the roster. He reportedly told Pollard that from his standpoint there were 5 D-I players ont the roster. 5!!! Wow.

I don't believe that conversation took place...only because that information would NEVER have gotten out to the public.

If it's coming from Marty Tirrell's mouth, then we pretty much know it isn't true or accurate.

Doesn't that D-Bag get all his insider info from his barber?

It seems reasonable to me, although I'd prolly say we have 8-10 D1 players. Either way, still a disaster.

Marty just likes adding salt to the wounds. He jumps on anyone when they're down.

Regardless if it's true or not, the actual info likely got stretched. We have more than 5 D-I football players on our team.

Big 12 starting caliber? That I can believe.

I agree.

Blythe
Bowen
Arnaud
Bates
Allen Bell
JJ bass

I would say that is about it. Meyer could have been had he learned his reads.

For the record. John Quin (former Clone QB) can't understand why Meyer won't throw the ball to Blythe. Even if it is a fade he need's to get the ball thrown his way 10-15 times a game.

I'm not saying I don't agree with it but my point is there is no way that Coach Chizik and/or JP let that type of information get out. No way.

I don't doubt that a conversation took place like that because that's part of the evaluation and expectation process, all coaches go through it when taking over. Now, the exact numbers may be stretched and the details skewed from what actually took place or was said.

If this is true, does it mean that Chizik recruited and offered scholarships to at least 15 players he knew weren't D1 talent level? This sounds ridiculous.
