Purdy is grossly underpaid. The market value for a team captain QB with his wins and overall #’s is nowhere near 900k. It’s a rookie contract problem, as others have said.

Also—Kinda silly to compare the market value of an NFL QB to the American population.

I’d have to think if Brock continues his performance throughout this year, they’ll renegotiate his contract in the offseason.

IDK what y'all are watching but Aiyuk is a stud.
Easy to see that he's the most important guy for Purdy. Really good in the middle of the field where Brock gets a lot of his work done. It also opens things up for Deebo on the short stuff.

He's being graded on the weirdest curve ever. The quality of play from NFL QBs is one of the worst parts of the league, and a 23 year old 7th round pick is one of the most efficient players in the NFL. Who cares if his coach is an offensive genius? He's not just surviving, he's leading.
Yeah he gets weirdly nitpicked. Does he miss throws? Yeah so does every QB. he's still been really efficient and he's in his second year making $900k. Regardless of salary he is probably playing at a top 15 QB level. Throw in the salary and he's probably one of the most valuable QBs in the league for performance to $

I know you agree but Not “probably” in that category. He’s most valuable in that ratio and there’s no way it’s even close.

You could make an argument for Mahomes because super bowl is the goal but yes I agree

No wonder random YouTubers are getting more attention than main stream types. This is so dumb.

Here's the thing - if there were valid criticisms against Brock Purdy, well, those are what they are. His arm strength is lacking - that's a fair criticism.

But the critics have gotten to the point of judging a QB based on 6th grade humor? It's just an insanely bad take and Florio should feel bad for making it.

Say what you want about Purdy’s shortcomings but man are he and the 49ers a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of these other teams. The Jers with Zach Wilson are awful. He’s no threat so they load up to stop the run. Breece 12 carries for 18 yards and Cook 8 for 18. Just brutal.

Trubisky, Justin fields, Zach Wilson, mac jones...they all suck...all of them should never have in the league...not even in the same league as Brock

Even though everyone missed on Purdy badly, there are some people who take that as some kind of indictment of their football knowledge and so they feel the need to make him prove more than almost any other QB ever. Most others are just enjoying the ride and appreciating a pretty special story while it lasts.
