On the road...
Is Matt Schaub worth $48 Million??? Honestly what has he done to earn this type of salary and contract?

There have been some rather wild contracts this off-season. This one could be the craziest.

Then again, if Schaub plays up to the potential many think he has - it'll look like pure genius.

Doesn't matter who the Texans bring in for QB though - if they can't learn to block up front - they can make Tom Brady look like Ryan Leaf.

Giving up their next two 2nd round picks and a big contract to a back-up QB sure makes Houston look a bit silly for taking a defensive lineman in last year's draft.

Well there wasn't a QB or OL worthy of the number one pick. The game is still won in the trenches.

Agreed.

So far though, that pick hasn't showed a whole lot.

No it hasn't. Their best bet would have been to trade down or just take Vince Young. Reggie Bush wouldn't have made a big impact on their team last year except for ticket and jersey sales.

The Texans didn't have a regular running back last year at all. Reggie would have been a better option than anybody they had. Plus, like you said, more money from merch.

It's the Houston Texans, they don't think things over before they make mistakes. Drafting Mario Williams over Bush, Young, and Leinert really looks smart now huh?

Well, they weren't banking on Dominic Davis to be out all year long, and besides, Reggie Bush isn't an every down running back. He was mostly utilized by the Saints through screens and plays designed for him to be in the open field. And even on a good team like the Saints, it took Bush a while to find his place in the offense and really start contributing. Put him on a bad team with a bad line, and I don't think he makes as big of an impact.
