So aside from the money aspect is there anyone that thinks Prohm should keep his job?
You’d have to think the boosters are in JPs ear about making a change, soon. This is not acceptable.
I can only think of 1 truly "bad" home loss in Fred's 5-year tenure. It's not just about home wins but it has taken something special to kill the Magic that Fred was able to reawaken. Steve will unfortunately always be compared to Fred, which is a tough spot for him...but he's not done himself many favors.
So far , more hurt is on the way. His contract is till 2025.
Someone in the OVC has got to need a coach. Belmont, Austin Peay, or something.
Those boosters dollars are more worried about keeping CMC happy. Prohm is safe because of NBA success, 5 star (almost) incoming pg and a very young roster that has turned over. His hot seat is next season
I'm still holding on to see what comes of this season but so far that looks like a pretty bad idea.
The money for CMC won’t be an issue. And his assistants. But this garbage with Prohm has to end.
Mainly we cannot afford to replace him. We lost 10s of millions this year and will be in massive debt. Also when we get a new coach in 2026, go get someone cheap who is motivated , knows basketball and wants a shot at P5. If CMC is still here breaking records in 2025 , put the money into football.
