21st birthday bar specials in Ames

I guess any Bday. Don't know if they do anything different if it is the big two one.
this... and then get have someone buy you a zombie. Pretty much won't remember the rest of the night after that. Don't forget super dog vendor (is he still there?)
As far as specials go, go to Paddy's and ask any male bartender to make you the nastiest shot he can think of. This usually is free, friend of mine got one back in the day with A1 steak sauce (not sure why they had it) tequila, and baileys. You also usually can get just a regular free shot there, but getting something gross is more fun (for others)
:arghh:Several years ago (6-7?) there were a couple Paddy's bartenders that made special birthday bombs. If I remember correctly, they were about half milk and about half mixture of tequila/151/buca and whatever else with a ton of salt mixed in. This was usually placed under a light on the liquor rack for about an hour or so until it was nice and warm. I never tried one, thank god.
It use to be 21 PITCHERS for $21, manager finally realized that was a bad business decision apparently.
Any bday at least at the old location where we were regulars and knew all the bartenders. Got one for my 22nd.
I figured it was only a matter of time that they would do away with the 21 pitchers for $21. No way they were making money off of that unless they expected it to draw people in and pay full price for everything else. There was no better 21st birthday deal period.
I agree, 21 pitchers is about all a group of celebrating friends needs, finish those and go to the next place. No one wants to stay at Cys all night anyway.
