Good thing you’re not a Twins fans then. That’s usually all we got.

Good news for Twins and Brewers is the "real season" starts now with weekday games. Saw a short snippet from Yankee bloggers and they said the opening series on a weekend is festive and all but you never know what will happen that first couple of games. They opined that the real season starts with a weekday night game, like tonight. If they even get the game in, forecast is dicey.

Good news is the Twins aren't at home tonight, going to rain and maybe snow here. Bad news is they are away but at Chicago and the weather forecast there also sucks for baseball tonight. They might beat the rain but the temps around 40 with wind gusts 25-30 mph. Woof!

Might have to tune in the Yanks tonight since they are giving rookie Will Warren a start. They have 9 pitchers on the IL and had scheduled ancient journeyman Carlos Carrasco to start. Not much interested in watchin a recycled 38 yer old with an an ERA of over 6.00 three of the last four years take the mound.
You yanks and your new bats can go straight to hell. My little league boys think they all need to switch to wood and get those bats. I told them it wouldn't make any difference if you were swinging a 2x12, they had no idea what I was talking about. lol

As a lifelong White Sox fan...after scoring 9 runs yesterday...you know the White Sox are going to lose tonight 2 to 0! But as you pointed out...IF they even play tonight.

Former Johnston Dragon and Iowa Hawkeye(boo hawks) Jack Dreyer just picked up his first major league after pitching a perfect 8th and 9th inning before that Shohei walk off homerun!

I’m glad to see it was an absolute disaster because **** Fischer, but I do feel a little bad for Sacramento since they didn’t ask for that
The A's lost the series 35-9, combined score. Yeah, baseball is going to do REALLY well in Sacto.

I know it'll never happen, but I would love to see MLB cut a month off the season. Start spring training in March. Opening Day in May. Still end the season at the same time. We could avoid these cold April games, and I feel like it would help cut down on injuries. But ... I get it ... lost revenue ... tradition. Whatever.

For the gamblers out there if you haven't already you might want to start betting every A's home game as an over runs total. Every one has gone over and tonight the ticket cashed in the 1st inning (9 runs scored).

NY Torpedo's have been shutout for their last 16 innings and counting.

At least now people can stop taking about these bats as something more than just a minor analytics blip.

Wasting Fried's 6 innings of shutout ball.

"Ace" reliever Devin Williams has an ERA of 12.00 after almost losing the game giving up 3 runs in the 9th and had to be in turn "relieved" himself so the Yanks didn't lose. Good news is it was on the road so he didn't get booed but he will if he keeps pitching like that. Woof.

This was kind of a fun read...mentions a lot of names I had forgotten about (mostly from the 1990s):

Just flipped on Yanks/Rays. Guess Yanks should feel at home since the Rays are playing in the Yanks spring training stadium, George M. Steinbrenner Stadium, this season.
