Still … funny how Peyton Manning was part of the opening ceremonies and then just - disappeared.
Peyton and Clarkson were not good, and it didn't help that the opening ceremony was a complete mess. I'll always remember that opening for it's uniqueness, but overall it was a terrible television viewing experience.

Really? Snoop is LA = West Coast. Makes perfect sense to me.
Not sure I follow the point you are making here. Snoop would make more sense in LA but I'm talking about his features in Paris. Feels pretty obvious he was only there because he is going to be on the voice.

Oh I thought you were talking about his performance on the closing ceremonies.

Too much of this kind of stuff gets me quickly into 'just pass the torch, have the teams walk through, play a song or two and move on' mode much like I get when they unnecessarily string out the national anthem.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I want the host city to put on their best show to welcome the world to the Olympics. I think part of the problem this time is that the imagery was just abstract enough to not be clear and it appears that the broadcasters were not given adequate information to explain said imagery.

I, for one, loved it for all its uniqueness and daring artistry. The closing ceremony presentation was really moving.

First off, Tyreek's neck is massive, but he's definitely not getting anywhere remotely close to Lyles in a race.
He's not going to win a race, but he was a legit olympic level talent in track in high school. His PBs were 10.19 and 20.14.

So it depends on the definition of remotely close is. He'd be within 10% of Lyles times I'm sure.

Not close in terms of fast people, not normal people. The difference between Lyles and last in the 100 final was .12 seconds, Tyreek's PB would be .4 seconds behind Lyles.

Sure, I think we're agreeing. I just think general public would see it and go, dang that's close. Although I'm sure Tyreek wouldnt run those HS times today.

It is crazy to think though, that is PB 200m as a high school senior would have been good enough for 7th in this Olympics. Obviously made the right call to play football, but he could have been that guy in track too.
