Mizzou only has games vs 2 ranked teams. They could go 10-2 and their 3 best wins would be at A&M, at S Carolina, and Arkansas at home.

That's good, top 25 good. But they will be like 8th and make the CFP.

It seems almost inevitable either Missouri or Ol Miss will make playoff just from starting position.

Without an established metric for strength of schedule and strength of record as a deciding principle for the playoff, the committee is just going off vibes. It's too bad, having that would probably improve the quality of top teams' schedules and that of CFB overall, but it's designed to be a made for TV event, and they are going to lean heavily on brands. We all know it.
