Whats the best way to get tickets and lodging to the Big12 tournament. Does Iowa State have an allotment? Id rathr buy throiugh them than ticketmaster with 100% up-charge in fees. I'd like to get down there and experience this but not knowing dates they play is risky. I'm assuming once teams start falling out their fans leave opening up hotel rooms. I'd like to stay close to power and light if possible, but street cars assist in opening up the hotel options.

With the tournament being 5 days versus 4 and an additional 4 teams it is a bit difficult to predict. I will tell you that Cincy, BYU and Houston sold out their allotment rather quickly. As an example you have to be a $15K donor at Cincy to even be guaranteed tickets to the Big 12 tournament. If you aren't donating at the Gold or Captain's Level at Iowa State then you are not getting tickets through the school this year.

Ticketforless is a good site without the upcharge for fees. If you are willing to live on edge then I think you get into the games on Wednesday and try to pick up tickets from losing fanbases. What is difficult to know is whether those fans from Cincy, BYU and Houston are going to simply return home if they lose. Hoping that Kansas State and Oklahoma lose on Wednesday will be the best bet.

Iowa State would probably have to lose 4 games down the stretch to fall to a Wednesday game. Waiting until Thursday is a fairly safe bet.
