Auburn, Duke, Bama, Florida, Tennessee, Houston, Texas Tech, Michigan State and maybe St Johns. I might be missing someone.

I do wonder if ISU and Tech make it to big 12 finals and ISU wins they probably jump Tech on seed line. Assuming they are below them now
I’m not going to hold my breath for anything that ISU does as far as positive results in the B12 tournament will affect where the committee seeds the team. Last year’s tournament results didn’t seem to help where they got seeded, and the committee used the NCSOS excuse to seed name brand teams ahead of the Cyclones. History shows that the committee has never been kind to Iowa State. If ISU doesn’t win the conference tournament, I can see the committee using the losses to KSU and OSU as justification for a four seed. If the Cyclones do manage to win the conference tournament, I don’t believe that the committee will seed them any higher than the 3rd or 4th three seed. I hope that I’m wrong, but I will be personally very surprised if the committee gives ISU the benefit of the doubt and and a favorable seed.

Drake has a niche that UNI never will being a private university. Neither are now or ever will be a threat to ISU beginning and ending with their AD budgets. I enjoy watching Drake BB & UNI. That level has become a feeder for D-1 programs, ie Heise. Possibly Jones & Jefferson came from that level too. Drake may have done the same thing by bringing in the Coach & 4 best players from D-2 NWMSU. McCallum turned down offers to be a main assistant at D-1 programs holding out for the right HC opportunity. Smart guy.

Think Fred is safe for the immediate future with an NCAA berth last year and what currently appears to be NIT this year.

Which is about what Neb has historically peaked at.

The problem is Fred was billed as the guy who would get that program to take the next step up. Regularly make the tournament and have some success. Winning a *single* tournament game is the bar FFS.

NU has enough money they shouldn't settle for mediocrity. Especially with a successful Big East program in your state.

And all the joke cracking about their program is fine but their fans have actually showed up for Fred. That arena has really helped.

Yeah as much as we dislike Husker fans, you can't argue their fan support, across all sports, is enviable.

When they're selling out for a mediocre team in the B10, with NIL, their fans shouldn't feel bad for wanting more.
