We're looking at buying a used vehicle that fits our budget, meets our criteria (mileage, features) and - the hardest one of all - has the legroom that my husband is comfortable in. We've done a ton a research, including going to different dealerships and sitting in and/or test driving multiple makes/models. It was a PITA, but so far these two vehicles check all the boxes. Now I'm digging more into reliability, common problems, recalls they've had, etc.

Just wondering if anyone on here has had experience or knowledge with either vehicle (2021 Nissan Rogue SL or 2020 Cadillac XT4 Sport)? To be blunt - I'm not looking for links to research or to have other vehicle suggestions.

And - is it common for a dealership to replace tires on a vehicle? In looking at the Carfax reports, I noticed two different dealerships that replaced the tires on the Rogue around the 20k mark.

Update: Adding the 2020 Forester, though we haven't test drove it. According to information found, the legroom will work.

We’re on our 2nd Rogue. This is a 2020 Sport, has 55000 miles, we will have had for 4 years this Dec. Replaced tires just before 50k. Have had zero issues. Before that drove the full size Rogue for 3 years and 42000 miles again no issues with anything.
The Sport does have limited room , both in the hatchback/trunk area and leg room.
Otherwise it’s been a great car

My guess on the tire replacement is either 'road hazard' sort of thing, or every once and awhile a new vehicle will chew up tires due to a poor factory alignment (or perhaps transit damage).

I would highly recommend doing some research on the Xt4 on reliability. Certain Cadillac models are notorious shop queens.

The newer models might be better, but Cadillacs arent exactly known for their reliability. Which is a shame because they're beautiful cars.

Kind of surprised, but just figured out the 2020 Rogue has more legroom than the 2021 (according to dimensions given online). Also found the 2021 seems to be having some issues. So now we're seriously considering the 2020.

3 recalls for the 2020 and most of the complaints for that year are transmission and engine.
I read the 2019 was the worst year to get.
