Any thoughts on our line up next season? I'm thinking

PG Jadda / Kids
SG Kidd / Durr / Starks
SF Seanna/ Durr / Carelton
PF Burkhall / Seanna / Ricketts
C Fernstrom / Ricketts / Baier

Emily Durr will be first off the bench
Claire Ricketts will see some good post minutes
Maddie could see some minutes down low of developed
Hard to say where Starks/Carleton will fit in?
Depth at PG concerns me

Kidd will a big time senior leader I feel maybe similar to a heather ezell senior season maybe run the point some when needed?

Thoughts?

Which ones were the bigger named recruits that BF got? Didn't we snag one from Minnesota?

To some extent, I think the second sentence answers the first one. I see Starks likely spending a fair amount of time as backup PG. Maybe even Carleton, but in my mind Carleton's more of a 2-guard while Starks is a combo. I may be completely off-base with that.

I agree that Kidd can play point, but we'll probably spend the non-conference season looking for a different backup option, using Kidd there only if necessary.

Isn't it nice to have options :) What a strange feeling.... With this roster BF has tons of options, and at post too. Starters may matter less than minutes. If I was a betting man, I'd say right now,

PG - Jadda
SG - Kidd
3 spot - Emily
4 spot - Seanna
5 spot - Bry

It will be curious to see how many minutes newcomers get. I think our Minnesota friends would argue that TT is probably the best, and most ready of the group.

I'm not to worried about PG. BF's teams usually run better when the PG gets 32+ minutes, and I think he will expect that of Jadda. I think post play will still be the biggest issue, it will be a young group still. Talented, but, I bet we still see a 4 guard/1 post line-up a lot.

I'LL will give this a go. I think we will see at least one freshman starting this year. My guess for the line up would be...

PG Jadda / Kidd/ Durr/ Starks
SG Kidd / Starks/ Durr/
SF Johnson/ Durr / Carleton/ Lexi
PF Carleton/ Burkhall / Ricketts/Jensen
C Fernstrom / Burkhall/ Baier/ Ricketts

Carleton could develop into a better rebounder then Johnson. She has the build and toughness to be a good very mobile 4. Durr played some point last season and can handle the ball quite well. I think Jadda is the key to this team. If she can shake off the rust and run this team the way BF wants then we got a shot at a very good team. Lots of depth and options for BF to play with. It will be nice to have a year where the coach doesn't have argue with the point guard. All of my listed starters are able to averaged in double figures. I would expect to see plenty of double doubles nights from this group. A much better group then last years team. The freshman are a very good class and hopefully the verbals will start rolling in to Ames soon for 2016. Go Sisters...

I agree, the next few years look very good - the best overall talent we've had - maybe in fifteen years. This should help recruiting - a top tier player ought to be tempted by all ISU has to offer, plus indications of teaming up with winning talent.
