Just got back from a run. Can confirm it’s going to be brutal today.

I pulled a hammy this past week so have to rest and try to rehab it a bit but the timing may have been good to take a week off.

I was up in the UP earlier this month which is generally pretty reliable for 70s/low 80s and cool nights in August. It was approaching 90 and humid, very unusual.

Ames
The bike ride back from Des Moines to Ankeny yesterday was a tad warm. Ride seemed worse going to Des Moines due to the wind. No chaffing, but my dang my seat is a tad sore thins morning.

Was debating on dropping a package in a cornfield, but saw someone or something had already made a path into where I had stopped and decided I could grin and bear it for a while. Just a tad leary of walking into a cornfield that has an established path and stepping into a greasy land mine.
