I'm still tempted to buy local beef that's raised by the nuclear power plant here.

Makes me wonder how much of our food is actually grown near a nuclear power plant.

Anyone seen this truck? Should I buy them?

I stopped by one of these trucks, Direct Prime Meats, out of curiosity. The 20 for $40 ribeyes were sold out, but apparently they were only 3 oz, so 3 lb 12 oz total. So a little over $10/lb for very thin meat. They also had 8 frozen ground steak half pound burger patties for $40, so again $10/lb for frozen meat. Maybe the meat is real good quality, maybe, but I'd have a hard time calling it a bargain.

Do with this info as you will.

Hey, don't knock the 'sandwich cut' ribeyes. That's my go to for tailgating. They grill extremely fast and taste delicious on a hamburger bun!
