This is a really good call. Rodman was a master of getting in people's head and Draymond is easily provoked. Just look at last year's finals.

I think it is really hard to compare great teams from across eras bc the game changes and so the Warriors would have gotten different role players in the 90s to fit around their stars and same with the Bulls if they were playing today with Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman. Although, Kukoc may have been even better in today's NBA then back then as he was so versatile and could stretch the floor and pass etc. The Bulls were also usually the top offensive team or close to it when they played and I think that is forgotten about. A big reason for that was their defense forcing a lot of turnovers and no one was stopping Jordan and Pippen on fast breaks. I think that is one aspect Kerr has really brought to the Warriors; creating turnovers. The Bulls were great at getting steals and deflections. The Warriors are great at that as well.

I think the fun matchups would be if the Warrios went with their 'small' lineup with Green, Durant, Igoudala, Thompson and Curry vs. Rodman, Kukoc, Pippen, Jordan, and Harper.

I hope Durant stays healthy bc he is one of my favorite players ever to watch. Before the injuries there was a lot of talk about him taking over as best player in the league. In these first two games, he is starting to look like he could take that mantel away from Lebron. Granted, Lebron is older and has been on top for awhile now. But Durant is showing everything in his game right now on both ends of the floor and it might be his time to take over for the next several years.

Great call on Kukoc being the fifth starter rather than 18 7 footer fouls that were useful in the 90s but completely pointless now.

Actually Kukoc would be first off the bench and with the salary cap massively increased the Bulls would have added a fourth or fifth all star the same way the Warriors just did thanks to the rules changing just in time for them to easily add Durant.

Rodman and Green trying to one-up each other for the "nobody's a bigger d*** than me" award would have been hilarious. Somebody's gettin' socked in the mouth.

Are we discounting that MJ was one of the best defensive players of his era?

Also Green vs. Rodman? Draymond is a punk and he's going against The Worm? Green would be so frustrated he'd kick someone in the nuts before tipoff.

If GS sweeps the Cavs, you would have to take the Warriors over that Bulls team.

The Bulls wouldn't be able to pay Jordan more than other teams' paid their entire roster with the new salary cap rules.

not a Bulls fan. What was a better defense?

The Bad Boys era Pistons?

The Ewing era Knicks?

The 1960s Celtics will Bill Russell prowling around?

The Big Three era Celtics were an awesome defensive team, too, with Garnett at center.

Some of those Spurs teams built around Robinson and peak Duncan were, too.

The league also lets you assemble a team of all stars a lot more easily, more easily than two years ago even.

How so? Last year with the cap spike allowed a one year window where almost every team had room to add another big contract, but going forward I don't see how this is the case. Max deals are still a percentage of the cap, and actually are a larger percentage than they were previously.

In Elo terms, this Golden State team coming off of game 2 is the best team ever.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...werent-the-best-ever-but-this-years-might-be/

That Bulls team and this Warriors team were built for different eras; there's little point comparing personnel.

And in actuality, the Russell Celts teams were the best ever in terms of dominance and even more proof you can't compare eras. Because obviously the teams of today, and the 80s and 90s etc would have beaten them head to head. But those Celts teams had like 4 or 5 other HOFs on them and had way more talent than other teams of the era. That is why it also ridiculous to knock Wilt for not winning more championships. Same as with Lebron. He hasn't always ha the best team despite being the best player.

Those are all good defenses. That Bulls team had 3 first team All NBA defenders for that year. Though I have seen some other team defensive stats that show other defenses as better compared to their era, so the stats probably don't back my claim.

I think they did lead the league in defensive efficiency.

Lol just to name a few. I swear nobody watch basketball before the bulls and nobody has watch basketball after . It honestly is hilarious to listen to people talk about them. Like really you forgot about the Pistons and the Celtics defenses are you kidding me. Tons of better defenses before the bowls and tons of better defenses after them

You add nothing to the conversation because of your hate of the Bulls.
