Assuming we don't get any transfers: at 165 Jennings is back but I see challenges from Straw (he wrestled half of his redshirt year at 165 with some success) and Schumacher. At 197, currently either Colbray or Shapiro would be the best options, but 184 is a better weight for both of them.

You are right about Jennings, forgot about him. Was thinking about St John being a senior

If we were gifted another senior transfer like Miklus at 165 next year, could Logan use his redshirt next year?

Logan's shirt got pulled because it was an opportunity for him to wrestle varsity. If we haven't recruited over him by next year's class there are other issues. If you look at who is currently on our roster then Straw bumping up is probably the best option but hopefully we can get a JuCo or other transfer that can step in right away.

I don't know if I'd count on Jennings being back. That elbow injury was nasty and has a very long recovery time. He may just decide he is ready to move on from wrestling. Best option for 165 will probably be from a transfer, Straw, or Schumacher. 184/197 will prbably be Colbray and Shapiro, just not sure who is where yet

Yeah, Logan could use his redshirt year anytime in the next 4 years if he would choose to do so.

Yeah, didn’t Dresser say that he wasn’t sure how many wrestling days Jennings had left? I’m paraphrasing, and maybe I misread it, but it seemed to me like he was probably done for good.

David Carr looks very skinny to me and he's just a freshman. Maybe he moves up to 165 after a year of development. Then Straw would be at 157 and Carr at 165. Just a thought.
He just wrestled at the Dave Schultz at 70kg (154lbs) this past weekend. He will be 157 for at least a year or two. Straw will be a Senior this coming year.

possibly.

I will be interested to see what Colbray wants to do. I assume stay at 184, because he looks good there. But with the change in his aggressiveness, he might be just as good at 197.
I think Shapiro at 184 is best and Colbray at 197 again. This way Broderson can fill in at 197 and push Colbray after redshirting. Once Colbray graduates Broderson would have 3 years to man the spot.

Unless Broderson gets pushed out by Fisher.

I just want to say how truly thankful I am to everyone who has helped me through this exciting process, but furthermore I am very proud to announce I will be continuing my academic and wrestling career at Iowa State University.

Thanks. Forgot about him. He did only lose to Hagan 2-1, so he does have potential. Anyone know if he projects as a 197 or a heavy?
