Come on, now. There was no way to really know that Purdy would be as good as he was. If he didn't have legs (see: Zeb) we would have had a terrible season. Our o-line was horrific.

No I agree with you. However, as far as I am down on this team. I can sit back and say Wiggs is just getting back in the swing of things. Lard has been basically a no show this year because of suspension and injury. Let's see if they Gel. BTW I feak out on every loss and still think Prohm has shown nothing since taking over.

Regarding tempo, I wonder if the EXTREME lack of depth for Prohm's first few seasons has him playing these guys too conservatively. Plus you have to admit we've been snakebit with injuries for years now it seems.

I agree, he isn't utilizing his depth enough. Not to say he goes Fran McCaffrey mode and plays 12 guys every game. But Steve has the depth at the guard spots and posts to play a much, much higher offensive tempo, and I think our personnel would be more comfortable with that than playing half-court slugfests. You can also dictate that offensive tempo by playing a bit more high pressure defense. Would like to see more regularity of the 3/4 court trap, and we should be switching everything 1-4 in the half-court.

I see people saying "we could have been 4-0 with a couple made shots." Well yeah, we could have. But I'm looking beyond individual plays or our current overall record. Looking at the broader entirety of the last 2 games, and prior games, and prior seasons with Prohm. He hasn't shown the ability to make timely in-game adjustments. Managing situational lineups and plays. Being good out of Timeouts. Closing out close games, whether we are up or down with a couple minutes left. Sorry but he is being out-coached more times than not.
