11/6 Traffic Thread

I’m getting ready to leave Ames and there are billboards saying that the I-35 North exit will be closed beginning at 7 PM on Tuesday night. I believe they are going to install some of the beams for the flyover.

If this is the case that will be a problem for those of you coming from North of 30 to attend the Men’s Basketball game and you will need to plan accordingly when the game is over.

Maybe I missed a previous thread on this or there are some DOT folks lurking on the board that can give some insight, but I thought this was a potential issue that should be addressed.

For those of you heading back North after the basketball game tonight, plan on taking the E 13th St on-ramp, as HW-30 ramp will be closed beginning at 7 PM.

Also, for those of you planning to take HW-69 South back home, be aware that North Bound traffic from I-35 will be re-directed to HW-69 at the Huxley/Slater exit (Exit 102) - this will begin at 8 PM. Watch out for speeding North-bound vehicles that may want to treat the HW as the interstate.
