Some interesting tidbits via Jamie Pollard from tonight’s ISU call in show:…for those who did not get a chance to listen:
- The upcoming basketball game at Hawaii was a late substitute for a scheduled home game with Bradley (who elected not to play the game this year). Mac viewed the Hawaii road trip as a team-building opportunity. Plus we get an invite to the Rainbow Basketball tourney in two years.
- After the basketball teams move to the new practice facility, the volleyball team will take over the west side Hilton offices. A Cyclone sports pre-game lounge for donors will be built in the other open office space.
- Work on the east side Jack Trice improvements started today. The timeline on bowling in the south end zone depends on 1. A large donor coming forward, 2. Football wins that sell more tickets, and 3. how the economic downturn affects the athletic budget.
