Going along with top 10 lists, what are your 10 favorite concerts you've been to.

Here's mine.

HM: Paul McCartney - not my favorite style, but great to see a legend.
10. Rascal Flatts/Blake Shelton - got to sit on the floor and had a good view.
9. Plain White Tees/Relient K/Hawthorn Heights.
8. Less than Jake - They played a free show at ISU and I was coincidentally playing tennis nearby so it was cool to play tennis and hear a band that I liked.
7. Local H - For a 2 guy show at Veishea, they rocked. Show had some good mosh pits going as well.
6. 3 Doors Down/Sevendust/Creed - This was way back when 3 Doors Down were nobodies. Fun concert at Hilton.
5. Anberlin/Relient K
4. 38th Parallel/Stellar Kart (bash on the farm) - anytime I've seen 38th parallel, it has been great. Like their music, they have a good message and I knew the guys in the band.
3. Pax 217/Slick Shoes/Supertones
2. John Reuben/Pillar/Sanctus Real/Relient K/Supertones - Awesome lineup
1. Relient K/Switchfoot/Supertones - back when all 3 bands were nobodies. My first concert as a teenager and we made our way up to the front. One guy in our group even won a dance competition.

Holy smokes am I going to get ripped for this because I don't have a lot to pick from:

3. Def Leppard at the Iowa State Fair. Meh.
2. Trapt/Red at VEISHEA. Wasn't expecting anything. Not too bad of a concert.
1. Nickelback/Bon Jovi at Soldier Field in 2006? AWESOME concert and show. 60,000+ and it was nearly perfect weather by the time the actual concert started. Additionally, the smoking hot twins just down the row made the crappy Battle of the Bands beforehand much easier to tolerate.

Jason Mraz
AWEsssommmme.

Honestly I saw Jason Mraz when I was in Australia in 2003 before he was real big (and he certainly wasn't huge over there) at a very small show. It was an absolutely great show. It was just him, Toca (the bongo guy) and a drummer, they played a 3+ hour set with no breaks, and were just great for it.

I went to that too, mostly to see No Doubt. I don't remember how long ago that was but I remember feeling really old. Average age was about 12 and I was, well let's just say older than that:)

I can't rate them or remember half the ones I went to in the 80s but the
ones I do remember:
Jane's Addiction (sometime in the 80s at some theater type place in the Twin Cities
Metallica - several shows during the ...and no justice for all tour. Actually, I really enjoyed the Death Magnetic show in DM too.
any of the Iowa Jams back in the day
Gear Daddies at Peoples
Foo Fighters in Iowa City - Crappy town but fun show.
