100 men and it's not even a contest. Look, a gorilla is a formidable beast. An order of magnitude stronger than a man. But it has a finite amount of stamina. And that stamina will run out long before it can defeat 100 men attacking it. It might get through a good number of them, but not all. Not even close

Is one of the men Mike Ditka? Then the question is Mike Ditka vs 100 gorillas, who wins the fight?

I read this in a Mike Leach voice.

If I get to choose the 100 I feel like the men could get it done. If it's just 100 average men I'll take the gorilla.
If you assume that each of the hundred men are capable of attacking the gorilla, it doesn't matter if they are average or not. The gorilla will run out of energy, and be defeated.

I can get on board with that. I feel pretty strongly that he would have honored the gorilla as a worthy but ultimately doomed opponent.

The craziest thing about this scenario is the only thing stopping it from actually happening is that it would be inhumane to the Gorilla. From the right prize money, they could easily friend 100 dudes who would sign up. Have it be something like the survivors split he pot.

See that’s the problem with this scenario. Men’s ability to plot. If you split the pot between the survivors, who willingly goes in to attack the gorilla first? Everyone will be waiting for someone else to step up, you know, the human psyche.

In this battle it would be man's biggest strength and weakness.

However, who would be the first man to fight the gorilla? I can't imagine anyone of them starting the fight. Everyone wants to be the 100th, but no one would be willing to be the 1st.

The gorilla could take his time, pick who he wants to attack, and just take care of business one-at-a-time.

The 100 men would need to have a plot that doesn't just sacrifice the first 10 or 20.

100 men. If the question was 10 men then I would take the gorilla, but no way a gorilla can take on that many men.
Agree. I think it's much more of a toss up at 10-12 men. Gorillas are big and insanely strong, but they're not a grizzly bear or elephant. Hardest part would be the men inflicting enough damage with just their hands, feet and teeth. That fight would be hard to watch either way. Absolutely brutal.
