This is why Prohm must go........

This is one of my bigger issues with Prohm. I can understand rebuilding. I get that losing streaks are a normal thing, especially for teams with less average talent on the roster. But good god, it is just painful to watch us on both ends of the court and it has been that way for a while. We...

This is why Prohm must go........

Lol come on everyone knows that you can tell how a player will play in a game based on the first 5 minutes of game time. I'm sure that "I just decided to not play you" is going to be well received by a young dude like Conditt, too. How did he not even get a run to start the second half and see...

This is why Prohm must go........

No, but there might be some sort of an agreement where we pay half and he leaves to go be a special advisor somewhere. Gotta hope that something will happen, right?

This is why Prohm must go........

I would be reasonably happy with TJ. Seems to know the program and be a serviceable coach and good recruiter. We aren't ever going to attract established, top tier coaches. We need to catch hold of someone just starting to realize their potential, like we did with Campbell and hold on. There...

This is why Prohm must go........

Pretty sad to see how far we have fallen. 3 home losses by double digits and a loss to Florida A&M are completely inexcusable, especially in what, year 5? I don't care about the talent that we lost last year. We have two future NBA guys on the roster now. Our standards should be higher than this.

    Cyclone Alley You Dissapoint me...

There was at least one. They zoomed in on him being miserable toward the end of the game. Seriously, when I went, cyclone alley required you wore their shirts on the lower level. I agree that that was too strict, but enforcing a cardinal/gold/ISU shirt rule should be pretty standard fare... you...

    Toledo's 2016 Recruiting Class

Why would we recruit a graduate player and put Lanning on the bench for another year? We need depth behind Lanning, not a graduate transfer QB.

COLUMN: Pros and cons of the Matt Campbell hire

Agreed. Recruiting is big but we will never out recruit Texas or OU. Development is bigger. Lets see... who was the last coach we hired who was a good recruiter with no HC experience... I think his name started with a C and he won 5 games in 2 years...

    SOURCE- Campbell signs with ISU

What I've heard (and remember from seeing them the past couple years) is they run a spread style offense, but run the ball with a lot more emphasis and success. Whereas Warren is our first 1000 yard rusher since A-Rob in 2009, I believe that Campbell has had one every year he's been a head coach...

No reason to be defeatist about it. Not like we play in the sun belt conference (yet). We have recruiting disadvantages, but even with poor recent results we managed to build a nice nucleus of talent (Lazard, Lanning, Warren, Cotton-Moya) to build from. Granted, most of Campbell's opponents...

SI reporting ISU working on deal with Campbell

I'm happy with it too, especially in light of the assistant package information. People are worried that he can't recruit Texas... well he can hire someone who can. We know he's keeping Ayeni, but everyone else is up for grabs. I'm assuming this is the end of Burnham, and possibly his son as...

So let's do it again and sustain it this time. The cupboard isn't bare--hopefully he can recruit and develop better and sustain this thing for longer that Rhoads could.

    SOURCE- Campbell signs with ISU

If he can get us to 8 wins a couple times and set up a solid foundation of recruits, I won't care when he leaves for Ohio State. Baby Steps. Building the program up from the bottom takes a long time, but keeping the cupboard stocked and improving the rep is crucial. If he gets us through the...

ANALYSIS: Jeff Woody's take on the Matt Campbell hire

I can't express how happy I am to have an O-Line, run based coach at the helm. The way to level the playing field in this conference is through line play and ball control. If we don't give up gashing runs and let opposing QB's stand in the pocket for 6 seconds, we will have a much better time on...

    SOURCE- Campbell signs with ISU

Unless it's Lazard, Lanning, or Warren (obviously it's not him), I am not terribly worried. I mean, any losses hurt, don't get me wrong, but those three guys are all sophomores or younger, and have incredible upside. If we lost one of them, I would be very upset. The rest can fill in around...

    SOURCE- Campbell signs with ISU

None that would come to ISU. People build P5 ties by being P5 coaches. They gain recruiting inroads through... you guessed it, recruiting. I would have liked to see a different offense, but maybe just having an offensive minded head coach will help build on the young talent we have in there, and...

    SOURCE- Campbell signs with ISU

Pretty stoked. Hearing rumors that Mizzou was making a play made me nervous, especially if the reports were true that we had cancelled other interviews. I think we did about as well as we possibly could have hoped. Quick replacement, hopefully a smooth transition, and we didn't get saddled...

    New coach, new image

I agree, but I have a feeling that Under Armour (whom I assume own that trademark) would have something to say about that. They aren't even our uniform provider.

    Am I the Only One?

I feel like I have said that every offseason for years. Maybe I was drinking the koolaid, but last year, this was what we were saying about this team: "Best WR corps we've had in years! Sammie's a senior, he's going to kill it! Our defense will be much better than last year!" Even when we...
