Comes across like a lot of coaches. Seems to be a good guy off the court, but goes insane in the heat of battle.

When Tang told us of his call to Fran F. telling him what he couldn’t say on air, I wonder if Fran told him what he couldn’t say to TJ accusing him of PhoneGate.

Yah he's a recruiter, of course he can turn on the charm when he needs/wants to.

Good on him to actually do the pod though, I'll give him that.

He seems like a nice guy. Off the court, in the off season, on a opposing teams' podcast.

I get why they didn't ask him about anything he did in Ames, and I probably wouldn't have either, since I'm a non-confrontational kind of guy. Like Jeff said, this isn't the Watergate investigation. This is a puff piece during the summer slow times.

I'm actually really surprised Tang came on and kudos to him for doing so.

Can't wait to listen - as I can't stand him. I love having rivals and hating their coaches - but this is a good move. Wish all B12 coaches would embrace this and engage with other teams fans in this mannor. Would definately help with bringing cohesion to the confrence.

Really glad that Grant got Tang for the interview. I enjoyed it. However, I don't think I could have resisted asking about the incidents with TJ and the mop. When he talked about his 'welcome" at Hilton, it almost seemed like he wanted to talk about it. I suspect that there was an indirect agreement not to go there (and not to admit to such an agreement), probably brokered by the K-State journalist. Grant and Jeff certainly took the high road. They are better people than me!
