Great move for all parties. There is a lot of change taking place in higher education and centralizing of workforce (specifically ITS) already taking place at ISU that I think some tough decisions and cuts are going to be made in order to support the mission of ISU. President Wintersteen gets the sendoff she deserves and the next Pres could have some turbulent seas to navigate - I hope they are up to it.

Kind of a big moment for higher education in the state.

Wintersteen is retiring, Nook at UNI is 66 and Wilson at Iowa is 67.

That's three crucial hires that the BOR is going to have to make in the short term that are going to have a huge impact on the future of the state. I hope they're up to it and are more open to creative solutions and innovations to recruit, retain and create long term residents than they have been over the last 20ish years.
