Pot roast in a crock pot with carrots, potatoes, etc. Never liked it. Why spend all day cooking something that is no good upon completion?

And I get this is an “Iowa” board and everyone prob grew up with this.

As a person that is born and bred in Iowa l will second this. Never was a fan of pot roast, liver and onions, meatloaf, or chicken hearts and gizzards growing up.

If you didn't roll out of bed hung over and crawl to the fridge for a slice of cold pizza in the morning you didn't do college right. Bonus points if the pizza was still sitting on the table at room temperature from the night before.
Oh I absolutely did. That doesn't mean it's something to strive for.

I kind of like it, but I agree it’s overrated. There are ways to make it better like pan searing the beef on all sides first but it’s still on the lower end of the scale for eating beef in my opinion.

As for cooking it all day, the point is it takes no work. You throw it in and come back a few hours later and eat it.

Though, carrots soaked in rendered beef fat all day are probably the best carrots you can eat.

If you make mashed potatoes and gravy with it now you’re talking.

This is probably my favorite meal. Add a couple halved onions and some cabbage and I'm a happy man.

Almost all breakfast foods---I hate pancakes, waffles, French toast, regular toast, any kind of cold cereal, oatmeal. I will eat eggs, but I want them to be the least breakfast like. So, for example, I like a Mexican omelette but I'd never order just ham and cheese.

Breakfast for dinner is pure hell for me.

Cold pizza. No. No. No. No. No. Never ok. Heat that sh*t up. Eat it the way it was intended.

This is a constant battle in my home and I'm severely outnumbered.
The pizza order is
1. Fresh
2. Cold
3. Reheated in an oven (close to 2 but cold is good enough why waste the time time?)
4. Microwave (distant 4 for me)

Edit: i should insert 1 at 2 or 3, pizza eggs. Take leftover pizza chop it up and throw it on a pan with some scrambled eggs

A well-executed lumberjack breakfast might be the closest thing to heaven on earth for me.

I wish I liked that stuff. I had so many battles with my mom over the breakfast thing. It's only in my adulthood that I've come to sort of like eggs.

I should've specified, regular parsley. Italian (flat leaf) parsley is good. It's the regular (curly leaf) stuff that brings absolutely zero flavor IMO.

Italian parsley cooked into things can be key.

I make chicken soup a lot and cooking in Italian parsley at the end adds a lot of flavor and lightens it. Agree the little sprig or sprinkle in a plate is typically “wtf is this?”.

- cold pizza is edible, but if you have a means to heat it up, hot pizza is many times better than cold pizza.
- a little bit of sauerkraut is absolutely part of the brat experience.
- Bleu cheese is ******* disgusting.

I think a lot of people eat pizza cold because they think the other choice is microwave which is even more horrific.

Put it in the oven or even on a pan!
