Spouse and I are big on plastic minimization in the house.
Reusable bags, order cleaning chemicals via compostable packaging (Blueland), etc.
We have solar and an electric car. Do out best to try to commute together to work.
She's a vegetarian, and most of the meat in the house is from the deer I shot last Fall. We've also signed up for a CSA.

I dont think this is hippie like, but I always wear sandals. I hate shoes, I'd play basketball in sandals. I wear outside sandals all weather, rain, snow, etc. Unless I wear shoes if I have to or it's freezing outside (and going more than a couple minutes), then no socks/shoes.

Thongs, slides, hiking sandals, athletic, etc.

I grew my air long and went to protests about the Vietnam War while I was at Iowa State. I smoked opiated hash and wandered around the arboretum talking to the trees because I thought they had faces and were the friends I was with.

Got pretty baked on "brownies" before a football game at old Clyde Williams. We convinced a house mate that it was halftime and the score was 0-0 even though it was pre-game. Now he was really baked.

Did sneak into the Wadena Rock Festival in 1970. that was sort of a hippy deal. Laughing now thinking what my parents thought of their 18 year old doing that.

I recycle and will randomly pick up trash in public
We'll hit the occasional farmer's market or roadside stand
I'll light incense when we're on our deck (partly to keep bugs away)
I'm barefoot outside a lot
I like a lot of the music from the Woodstock era
Grow lights and tall plants with serated leaves growing in the basement?;)

I really hope this story is true.

I do feel blessed that my wife at 54 still rocks a thong almost daily. Oh, wait, you're talking footwear...

Well I grew up homeschooled on an organic farm so the list is long.

But currently - make our own tomato sauce, muffins, energy balls, pancakes, lots of frozen fruits/veggies,
Have a garden - getting expanded this year
Winter sow most of my flowers and started veggies this year
Take our compost to a neighbor
Moving to a meat and egg CSA
No-spray yard (neighbors probably love that)
Pollinator garden
Baby wore
Bit of co-sleeping (don't @ me)
Made my own baby purees for a while
Cloth diapered the first for a year
My stitching hobbies are probably granola adjacent

I'm sure there's stuff I've forgotten.

I think we parent similarly! We were big co-sleepers and did/do attachment parenting. Nursing, baby-led weaning at home (the purees were for daycare, they didn't do BLW), I tried cloth diapering but it grossed me out too badly, baby wore. I also love cross-stitch and (moreso) embroidery!

I'm shocked you guys co slept! You were a car seat safety nazi so I assumed that applied for sleep too lol. I was very anti co sleeping until my 1st drove me nearly insane with 30-45 min stretches. Wish the US would approach it with a less abstinence and more reality approach. We did some dangerous **** with the 1st avoiding bed co sleeping. Made different choices 2nd time. Now that near 4yr old climbs in every night about 3am and asks so kindly "will you please snuggle me??" And how do I resist?
