A gorilla is about 9 times stronger than a human and can take multiple blows from another gorilla. What do you think the strikes from a human being would feel like to them? Probably won't do much damage. They can also lift 2,000 pounds so a 200 pound man will be sent flying easily. Their bite strength is TWICE that of a lion. I seriously don't think those 6 guys will get close enough to subdue it.

I was talking about this with my son last night. The only chance for men to subdue it would be to all time their grabs perfectly at the same time. Because let's say two guys can grab an arm, that means the gorilla fights them off/kills them with its free arm. So basically you need more than one guy on each arm, leg, and neck at EXACTLY the same time. Otherwise gorilla kills the men on that failed attempt and the men have to start over and sacrifice some more men again.

Just doggy pile the gorilla after it gets tired. Also doesn't specify if they have weapons. Just need some rope and things get ugly fast for the gorilla.

That's the part I can't get past. Those first 6 are going to get brutalized. I've watched plenty of LivePD in my day and hell, four cops trying to subdue a single meth head is a battle that can take a while. I can't see 6 initial dudes getting control of a silverback's legs and getting it down.
What percentage of the human population are wrestlers? Those guys are nuts, and you all know it. Some guy who wrestled 165 in hs would be going in for single leg takedowns.

Then the rest of us go in for the 2nd wave after those guys are dismembered. Also, though he is a big strong dude, Mr Gorilla still has eyes and throat and knees - soft targets. Hit those spots a few times, get control, its over.

This is the correct answer. The men arent doing any damage with punches. A Gorillas muscle and bone are too much. Thinking the best chance men have is to smother the Gorilla and thats going to take several men not getting tossed and a tired Ape.

Unless those 100 men are protecting 100 wives and children, I just don’t see how they unite enough to overtake the gorilla.
Don't you have to assume something like this for the scenario to work? 100 dudes are not going to attack a gorilla unless they have no other choice.

A lot of gorilla experts in here…..

:jimlad:
It's the offseason. I'm an expert on gorillas until I become an expert on whatever topic dominates next week. Frankenstein vs 100 zombies? Coach Hines' mom vs type 2 diabetes? You name it and, a quick google search later, watch the expert at work.

I've been to enough parties at Iowa State involving wrestlers and hockey players to know that enough Busch Light makes one invincible.

While your first paragraph is accurate, all of those things require energy. A big guy can probably bench 300 lbs, but he can’t do it multiple times over.

A gorilla would have to do those things you listed 100x over roughly. Could it rip someone’s limbs off, certainly, could it do it 100 times. All while evading people scratching at his eyes, clutching at its legs, pulling its hair, going for its throat, etc. Probably not.
