Probably could also use a trip to the psychologist as well. Seems to have lost his confidence. 2 months ago he would have provided the dagger vs BYU. Didn’t seem to want the shot at the end Tuesday night.

Final 4 would be more talked about. A healthier Gilbert gives you a better chance. He ain't able to play they have a low shot at elite 8 no matter who they play.
Yeah.....but if there is drama around him as we move towards that, im sure that won't be welcomed by coaches.
This is why TJ gets the big bucks!

This thread got so stupid so quickly.

As much as I want revenge against K-State, this game means nothing compared to next week and especially the weeks that follow next. I would gladly (through gritted teeth) trade this game if it means our team is healthy for the next month plus.

And hearing that Gilbert has been playing with an injury for awhile now probably explains why his play has fallen off that last couple of months.

Need him to get healthy. If he needs rest today it makes me wonder if we should have just sat him the last 2 games as well. Conditioning is definitely crucial as well I guess which can also lead to turnovers due to fatigue. Hoping we win today and keep the 3 line and get everyone healthy to make a run

His knee hurts. Has for weeks. Knowing you could play 2-4 games next week, followed by a game every other day for the next few weeks, you would be silly to not consider resting him.
He has not been right for weeks. Running the floor has looked like a chore for him since late in the noncon. Seems like he’s been gutting out some injuries, but when he isn’t his normal explosiveness on defense and driving, it’s a big problem for this team.

so...he's been kicked off the team but is on the bench in Manhattan? Please elaborate.
TJ sat Caleb Grill for a game for “injury” and he was off the team completely the following week. Not saying that’s what’s going on with Keshon but just pointing out that scenario has already happened before.

Not really surprising with nothing on the line. At the start of the BYU game he was moving better than he has for a long time. By the end of the game he was look stiff and struggling again.
