Is KU even possible? I thought they kept conference foes from meeting until the Sweet 16.
They try to do that, but overall balance of the bracket will precede most things such as that.
It still greatly reduces the probability that #8 or #9 Iowa State would have #1 Kansas in the Ro32.
I'd love to go against Bolton, but the j-hoks are the weakest and least talented of those four (even with their McD AAs.)
We wont meet up with KU so it'll be auburn/zona/zags.

In March. You always want to play the teams with the weaker back court. Front courts hardly ever win you a ton of games in the tourney. Look at how big of a role big men play in the B1G. Yet all those teams got upset last year.

That's the basic rule, "unless it's unavoidable"* (as it applies to overall bracket and would depend on # of teams in one conference getting invites)
*(similar with in-season rematches in first round).
Since the start of conference play. Zona has only 1 Q1 road win against a 14-12 Washington St team... Only 1 more road Q1 game remains for them. By comparison, KU has 5. Baylor has 6. Even Auburn has 1 Q1 road win in conference play against Bama
Yeah, I'd want nothing to do with Gonzaga. Take my chances against the Tigers or the Wildcats.
Auburn has seemed inconsistent from what I have watched. Get them on an off night and they're very beatable.
I thought about that, too. Had some close calls (including near-loss at Mizzou) so among the 4, UA seems most "vulnerable." Not sure how we match up compared to the others.
Absolutely not Gonzaga. Otherwise it's a toss up between the other 3 for me.
I feel like the zags bigs would eat us alive. Give me KU all day with those four.
