Remember the lottery system for students. I think you had to sign up in four ticket allotments and then there would be a list in the ISU Daily showing which lots had won the tickets. Then the tickets would have you alternate seats with most of them in the balcony...but once in a while you would get parquet seats.

Vitale was coaching Detroit Mercy at the time. However wasn't really an ass kicking unless Detroit Mercy made it look good at the end. 86-81 was the final.

Valvano and Vitale were just great together, a lot of nostalgia in that video. Totally off topic but anyone else remember them being on The Cosby Show? I always though Jimmy V looked like Damone from Fast times at Ridgemont High
